Chapter 12 - Length, Weight, and Capacity
Lessons 12.1- 12.3
This week students will be working on comparing, exploring, and ordering length.
Chapter Benchmarks: Students will compare and order objects according to descriptors of length, weight, and capacity. Students will measure using iterations of a unit and count the unit measures by grouping units. Students will solve routine and non-routine problems by acting them out, using manipulatives, and drawing diagrams.

Unit #7 - Living Things and Their Parents
Students took the Unit 6 benchmark on Tuesday to end Unit 6. In Unit 7 students will learn that offspring of plants and animals are similar to, but not exactly like, their parents or each other.
Unit Benchmark: Make observations that plants and animals closely resemble their parents, but variations exist among individuals within a population.
